Dental implants can be an essential solution to maintaining jawbone health and offering permanent tooth replacement solutions. Dentures can comfortably replace an entire arch of teeth, but they don’t help your jawbone. What if there was a way to combine the comfort of dentures with the power and permanence of implants?
That is what the All-on-X system of tooth replacement can do for you. Dr. Cast offers the All-on-X system at his office in Palm Desert, California, in the Palm Springs area. He is a skilled implantologist with extra Harvard training, ready to offer you a chance at a new smile.
What Is All-on-X?
All-on-X is an incredible implant system that replaces all of the teeth on either the top or the bottom of your mouth. It uses between 4 and 6 implants to secure a custom set of dentures to your gums.
The dentures are permanent and cover a bit of your gums, to fully integrate with your smile. They are custom-created, so there will not be rubbing or slipping as you speak. If you are looking for a smile that gives you a natural flair, we have a solution that restores your appearance and your oral health, with All-on-X.

Why Not Just Use Dentures?
Dentures are a common solution for patients who have lost their teeth due to decay or disease. While they may help your face appear younger and improve the cosmetics of your smile, they won’t protect your jaw health or oral health in the same way dental implants can.
Combining implants with the cosmetic features of dentures allows us to give you prolonged oral health, all while restoring your confidence for years to come.
The Dangers of Missing Teeth
A Gap in Your Smile
Are you nervous about sharing your smile because it looks uneven or even unhealthy? We understand that a severely damaged smile can damage how you feel about yourself. Your diminished confidence is just as much a danger to your quality of life as oral health concerns are.
During our consultation with you, we will discuss our cosmetic goals for your All-on-X restorations.
Diminishing Oral Health
When you have missing teeth, you might experience:
- A Crooked Smile | Your teeth may try to shift to fill the gaps left by missing teeth, creating an uneven smile with uneven wear and tear on the teeth.
- Gum Infection | Exposed gums are more likely to become infected. You may also experience periodontal disease in and around your lost tooth.
- Tooth Decay | Your remaining teeth will be more exposed after you have missing teeth, allowing them to be exposed to bacteria and plaque.
- Jaw Aches | Your jawbone may begin to deteriorate after you lose teeth, causing pain or TMD symptoms.
These issues are only made worse when you lose multiple teeth. Sometimes tooth loss, even the loss of multiple teeth, cannot be prevented, but the oral health issues it leads to can be treated.
A Toll on Your Jaw
When a gap in your smile is left for more than a couple of months, more systemic health issues can begin to occur. You may experience jaw pain, and notice facial sagging.
That is because your jawbone will lose density without a tooth root to stabilize it.

The Benefits of Using All-on-X
Compared to traditional full arch replacement options, All-on-X simplifies your life and enhances your smile even more. Stop dealing with dentures, and instead, come visit us for an All-on-X consultation.
Replaces an Entire Arch of Teeth in One Process
All-on-X implants allow for full-arch tooth replacement in a single, well-planned procedure.
Unlike traditional methods that require multiple individual implants, this system provides a comprehensive restoration with fewer surgical steps. Patients can leave the office with a functional, natural-looking smile much sooner than with conventional implant procedures.
Easier to Recover From Than Individual Implants
Because fewer implants are needed, the recovery process is significantly easier compared to getting an implant for each missing tooth. The strategic placement of the implants minimizes trauma to the jaw, allowing for a smoother healing experience.
Many patients find they can return to normal activities more quickly than expected.
Reduces the Need for Multiple Surgeries
Traditional full-mouth implant placement often requires multiple surgeries, including bone grafting, to prepare the jaw.
All-on-X minimizes the need for additional procedures, as the implants are placed in areas with the most bone support. This means fewer appointments, less downtime, and a more straightforward treatment plan.
No-Slip Option for Dentures
If you have been using dentures to maintain your appearance, you have likely experienced your dentures slipping, shifting, or rubbing on your gums. All-on-4® and All-on-X implants are securely anchored to your jawbone.
This stability means you can speak, eat, and laugh with confidence, knowing your teeth won’t move. The implants function like natural tooth roots, providing a solid foundation for your new smile.
Long-Lasting and Durable
With proper care, All-on-X implants can last for a lifetime, with their denture restorations lasting around a decade.
Unlike traditional dentures, which need frequent adjustments or replacements, this solution offers lasting results with minimal maintenance. You won’t need to worry about maintaining the implant posts, just the dentures, since the implant posts are hidden in your jaw.

The Benefits of Dental Implants for Full Arch Replacement
While All-on-X has many benefits, from its process to its cosmetics, the implants that All-on-X utilizes are equally important and beneficial. Here are some of the great benefits of replacing your teeth with implants:
- Preserve Jawbone Health | Implants stimulate the jawbone, preventing the bone loss that occurs with missing teeth. This helps maintain facial structure and avoids the sunken look that can come with tooth loss.
- Protect Surrounding Teeth | Unlike traditional bridges, implants do not require the support of adjacent teeth, preserving the strength of your natural smile.
- Feel and Function Like Natural Teeth | With a secure fit and strong bite force, implants allow you to eat, speak, and smile with complete confidence.
- Low Maintenance | Implants do not require special care beyond regular brushing, flossing, and routine dental checkups.
- Long-Term Solution | With proper care, dental implants can last a lifetime, making them a reliable and durable option for tooth replacement.
At Evolution Dental, we take a precision-driven approach to implant placement, ensuring seamless integration and a natural look. Whether you need a single implant or full-arch restoration, implants provide a stable, long-lasting solution for a healthier, stronger smile.
The All-on-X Process
1. Consultation
Call us to get started for a consultation. Our experienced team is trained for all implant cases, including All-on-X. During the consultation, Dr. Cast will discuss whether All-on-X is the best solution for restoring your smile, or if he recommends other steps. We will create a personalized plan to achieve the smile you need.
2. Extractions or Gum Grafts
In order to use the permanent All-on-X dentures, we will need to remove any remaining teeth you have in the arch we are restoring. We will take into consideration how many teeth you have remaining during your consultation. Extractions are quick and can be done with sedation dentistry if you need the calming effect.
We may also do a gum graft surgery if you have less-than-optimal jaw bone density. We will tell you if we recommend a gum graft during the consultation.
3. Placing the Implants
Dr. Lee is one of the most highly trained implant surgeons in the Palm Springs area. He and Dr. Cast will place your implant posts, which will be hidden. You can wear a temporary denture while they heal.
At this point, we begin to create your custom dentures.
4. Denture Placement
Once we have created your custom dentures and your implants have bonded with your smile, we will fit you with a whole new arch of teeth. The custom dentures will permanently attach to the implants you have placed in your smile.
Now you have a new smile to show off!
A Powerful Team for Implant Placement

Improved Technology for Accurate Placement
Dr. Cast will digitally plan your implant placement, using precise computer programs to find the most comfortable and effective placements for your implants. The planning is based on function and also your jaw size. The ideal placement will make it as easy as possible for your implants to osseointegrate with your jaw.
Our office utilizes many kinds of technology besides guided implant placement, such as CBCT and other advanced imaging. We want to make your experience as comfortable as possible.
Discover if You are a Candidate for All-on-X
The best way to learn if All-on-X is a good option for you is by scheduling a consultation with our office. During the consultation, Dr. Cast will examine your smile and take detailed scans of your jaw and mouth. Using those scans he can determine your jawbone density and analyze your current oral health.
